Maidstone CAN (Climate Action Network) is a community association working to coordinate and support events and activities across Maidstone that help address local climate and environmental challenges.
Our initiatives include the Maidstone Repair Café, Maidstone West Station Adoption, community litter picking, recycling projects, all aimed at building a greener, more sustainable borough.

Great British Spring Clean Litter Pick

Sunday 29th March 2026, starting at 10:00am outside Lockmeadow Market Hall. We hope to have as many people as possible at this event. If you are able to participate on that day please contact us at maidstonecan@gmail.com so we can know how many bags of litter we can pledge.

We’ll kick things off at the Market Hall at Lockmeadow, then head out to litter-pick the surrounding areas before making our way along the River Medway. All equipment will be provided — bags, hoops, pickers, and safety gear — so just bring yourself, some comfy shoes, and a willingness to get stuck in!

Repair Cafe February 26
February’s Repair Café, held on a wet and windy winter’s day, proved to be a resounding success. It attracted the highest number of volunteers and exhibitors since the café began.
